Vectrix Electrics is a company located in Rhode Island that works in the business of electric scooters, and they have an exclusive vehicle that is making success.

The scooter which is constructed in Poland has the same name as the company - Vectrix - and costs close to $8,500. During 2007 they sold 462 units, while in 2008 the number has increased a lot and is now set at 1,184 bikes sold to dealers.

As for the technical details, the Vectrix can do 6,8 seconds to reach 50 mph (80 Km/h) and weighs close to 200Kg. With a single charge the scooter can do 35 to 55 miles, close to 56-89 Km, but it all depends on a number of factors such as the driving habits, additional weight, or if there is a passenger or not.
