Having your scooter stolen is already a bad scenario, right? Now imagine the feeling of having to pay £200 to recover it. This story took place in Bedford Road on the UK, and it was a Yamaha bike.

How it happened:

- Geoffrey Reed got contacted by the police because his missing scooter was found
- He goes to the police to recover the scooter, but strangely enough the vehicle was put in a pound (without police knowing) that belongs to a private parking company - Wing Security
- The Wing Security firm asked £200 to deliver the scooter, AND each day that passed another €20 were added

I accept that theft goes on but what gets me is the fact it was towed away without the police being told. It’s quite a nasty system - if I had been told it had been clamped I could have gone down and picked it up before it got towed away. I’m a victim of crime here - I’m disgusted.
