The Yamaha folks decided to provide some information about their Grand Pix bike, also known as YZR-M1.

The presentation was done a few days ago at the end of the Grand Prix season, by Masahiko Nakajima who is the leader of YMC MogoGP group.

While the presentation was split into 4 parts, including the 2007 review, concept, development, and results, the best part is certainly the last that mentions what aspects were improved:

- fuel consumption by 6%
- and engine performance by 12%

The YZR-M1 took victory in ten out of the 18 rounds - nine wins for Rossi (Bridgestone tyres) and one win for Jorge Lorenzo (Michelin tyres) - and a Yamaha rider finished on the podium at every race. The 2008 YZR-M1 concluded the season with 10 wins, 24 podiums and 7 pole positions.
