Author: Anthony BXtreme Green Products has just announced the new Xtreme Green Electric Motorcycle/Scooter that is coming out in early 2009 – http://www.xtremegreenproducts.com. It can go 95 miles at speeds up to 65mph on a single charge. The company is currently in talks with several larger auto dealerships around the US to begin selling the motorcycle and its electric motor scooter line in early 2009.

hmm, well this 4000W unit looks ok, but, I guess I need to burst this bubble with my even more powerful 6000W “beyond extreme” machine due out in July 2009.

Range is 95 miles. Price will likely be > $5K. I don’t get it. Electric vehicles are not yet competitiive with their gasoline-powered counterparts on a cost/value basis. Most people me included) simply cannot afford to buy one just to make a “green” statement.
Wake me up when these things are ready for prime time.
