Capella: The Foldable Electric Bike

Truong Minh Nhat of the Ho Chi Minh City School of Architecture developed Capella, while working on his project. Capella, the lightweight electric vehicle can be folded to fit a backpack! Capella design is inspired from the Greek mythological Unicorn which controls the Star Capella.

“My product targets teenagers who want to ride bicycles, so I paid due attention to its stylish design,” Nhat says.

Capella can travel at over 30 miles per hour and lasts about 7.5 miles on a two hour charge. Amazingly Capella’s chain, wheels and chain ring get bolt folded into the body. This gives the rider an option to carry the 22 pounder (approx.) and move out of the crowd.
