The Jonway ECO 49cc four stroke scooter is a good, basic first scooter that will get you to work or around town reliably and economically for not too much cash up front. With an MSRP of right around $1299, the Jonway ECO is definitely a one-person ride, good for students or singles looking to save money on gasoline. Features include a 3.5 HP four stroke 49cc engine, a 1.3 gallon fuel tank that gets 80 to 100 MPG, an electric and kick start ignition system, and front and rear disc brakes. With a maximum speed of 30 to 40 MPH, the Jonway ECO holds its own in city traffic, and the 46 inch wheel base and padded leather seat make for a comfortable ride. The 280 pound weight limit leaves lots of wiggle room for cargo and ‘stuff’, although storage is limited. You will probably want to add a rack or other storage accessory for shopping and hauling books.
