The Segway i2 Personal Transporter is a versatile and ecologically friendly transportation alternative that is especially attractive to people who can stand perfectly well but still have some minor mobility issues. To move forward or backward on a Segway PT, you just lean slightly forward or backward. To turn left or right, you simply move the LeanSteer frame left or right. The wireless key controller can set the speed as high as 12.5 mph. A built-in theft alarm, trip counter and other display features are also included. When the Segway was first released, it got lots of press but has faded into the background as it has also become more common. Segways are now routinely used by resort staff, postal employees, and some local police and security departments. The price of i2 is approaching affordability now for individual users.
