Robbing a bank requires a good disguise and a fast get-away car, right? Maybe not! A thief in San Diego pulled a gun on a Bank of American teller last week and fled the scene carrying and undisclosed amount of money on a Razor Scooter. The bandit, who was wearing a blue bandana over the lower part of his face, was over six feet tall and was wearing a purple stocking cap, blue jeans, and a black hooded sweatshirt.

Local police fanned out and searched the area, even using a police helicopter, but were not able to apprehend the scooter riding bank robber. Razor scooters are small, collapsible scooters that resemble skateboards but have become increasingly popular in urban areas where traffic is heavy and parking is scarce. Some Razor scooters are motorized and can attain speeds as high as 30-45 MPH despite their compact size and shape.
