Approximately 206 2005 Novara Trionfo bicycles have been recalled due to a problem with their fork, which can separate from the steer tube causing riders to lose control leading to a potential fall hazard. To date, there have been 2 reports of injuries which included fractured clavicle, broken teeth, facial damage and head injuries.

The said bicycles were manufactured by Recreational Equipment Inc., and were sold at local stores nationwide from January 2005 through August 2006 for about $720 to $1,900. They were manufactured in Taiwan.

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled bicycles and return them to an REI retail store for a free repair.
