Jet Powered Bicycle

Jet Powered Bicycle

Recently, Bob Maddox rode his jet powered bicycle at 73mph and while not exactly breaking the sound barrier, doing that speed on a bicycle is quite a feat. The bicycle is an average one, except that it is powered by a pulsejet, and that makes it every bit remarkable. The bike has two thrust engines with a hole between their combustion chambers that makes the engines cycle as one.

Despite the engines being on one side, the bike itself does not pull to one side. The tires on the bicycle have heavy spokes and are aired to 65 pounds with heavy tubes which ensures that there’s no vibration and that the bike can move at those high speeds. This bike is headed to the Netherlands, and now Maddox is working on one that would generate 1400 pounds of thrust.
