KTM Lambretta Scooter

Lambretta scooters are not as well known as Vespa is in the United States, and appearing rather mild mannered, there isn’t anything overly striking about the Lambretta, unless it has a 2-stroke 250cc KTM motor attached to it. This over-powered Lambretta has been developed by UK firm DAC-Tek, who’ve upgraded the scooter’s stock 150cc, 9bhp engine and added instead a 250cc, two-stroke KTM engine that makes 45hp.

DAC-Tek has also upgraded the Lambrettas wheels, tires, and brakes. With all that extra power, the bike will need a front disc brake instead of the stock hub unit. There’s also an altered four-speed gearbox to suit the KTM engine’s power delivery. If you dig the retro look, you can place an order for this Lambretta, but its going to run you about £10,000 (US$16,000).
