Last month, we had posted about Vmoto which was contracted to produce 30,000 fully assembled scooters for Vietnam. Today, that all becomes a reality as Vmoto has reportedly raised $1.08 million for the first half to support the mass production of this big scooter order. The raised amount will serve to pay debts and working capital for the project.

The company also said today its “Vietnamese customer” had committed to buy a minimum of 30,000 125cc electronic fuel injected “Retro” scooters a year for two years with an option to extend the contract for one-year periods at quantities agreed to between the two companies.

Vmoto will begin production in August with shipments to the customer beginning in September.
