When it comes to special racing events in the cycling industry, you may see a couple of official scooters roaming around the track making some final inspections prior to the actual event. These are most probably the Yamaha JogRR MotoGP scooters which are the official scooters for the 2009 MotoGP. This marks the fourth consecutive year that they have been chosen and used.

As you would guess, these scooters carry out miscellaneous things such as track inspections and positioning cameramen for best angles for great shots and coverage. Logistics staff also make use of these scooters for installation of recording devices, safety equipment and advertising boards.

The Yamaha JogRR’s high-output 50cc engine features MotoGP-style liquid cooling to keep the engine performing at its best in the heat of the racetrack. Coupled to V-Belt automatic transmission, the lively engine ensures performance that’s always easy to control.

Thanks to its lightweight frame (84kg), short wheelbase chassis and disc/drum brakes, the JogRR MotoGP delivers precise and safe handling making it ideal and perfect for people and staff in carrying out their duties to ensure the event is a success.
