Segway scooters have been known to provide mobility to state policemen and now, it is the Pittsburgh State Police that are going to get quite a boost. They were given the Segway scooters recently, something that they aim to put to good use around campus.

“That’s one of the advantages. It’s green and environmentally friendly. We just have to plug it in and charge the batteries,” McCracken said. “It’s just 11 cents a day for use. You compare that to fuel costs to go on patrol.”
