A common misconception is that it only counts as drunk driving if you’re driving a conventional vehicle such as a car or a motorcycle. However, this is not the case as it also applies to driving scooter, hell you can even get written up for driving a bicycle while under the influence.

It seems that one scooter driver by the name of Delton Lewis didn’t get the memo as he stopped to ask a Salisbury cop for directions while he was blatantly drunk. After asked for directions, the officer gave the man a breathalyzer test which resulted in a .16 BAC. For those of you who don’t know, the legal limit in most all of the US is .08.

So folks, take this as a public service announcement, do not drive your scooter (or any vehicle for that matter) while inebriated. Got it?
