With a growing clamor for mobility scooters to be banned in certain beaches like Ruakaka beach, here is one off-road mobility scooter which should be exempted. At least that is what its creator, John Sturmfels claims of his scooter invention.

Sturmfels relies on mobility scooters to get places. After a car accident took out his legs 15 years ago in England, he came up with this off-road scooter that gave him a new lease on life. His scooter is an off-road four-wheeled petro powered machine that can go across rough terrain and ideal for sand, mud and steep slopes.

Size seems to be the issue as far as allowing scooters in public places as the beach. But considering the compact nature of his off-road scooter, it seems that he may just be exempted unless another issue comes up from the public. Something like let us say, reckless scooter driving!
