PPA Installs Parking Spaces for Scooters

The Philadelphia Parking Authority has announced that they will be launching a new program which calls for providing 60 parking spaces in Center City to discourage scooter and bike riders from illegally parking in the streets. It seems that riders are trying to save on parking cost by simply parking their rides on the sidewalks which has really become an eyesore. And apparently their excuse is that of parking space for their two-wheeled rides, something that stands to be a thing of the past.

By providing 60 parking slots for scooters and motorcycles, a more orderly way of parking their rides is expected to restore order on where to actually pitch their rides. Any scooter or bike seen to continue in illegally parking their scooters in the sidewalks will be subsequently fined for such violations from here on. The said parking rates are lesser than the charges for regular automobile parking fees.
