Three of the top electric bike manufacturers issued separate recalls on certain models for varied reasons. First, BMW issued a recall for the 2009 K1300GT and K1300S due to the turn signal, emergency engine off/start switches on the K bikes may fail. Ducati for its part has issued a recall on the 2009 1098R, 1198S, and the 2010 Streetfighter due to a clamping issue on the fuel pump hose which may come loose.

And finally Triumph recalled the Sprint ST1050 from model years 2005-2009 due to issues on the rear suspension drag link assembly which may corrode and later on cause the drag link to fracture. Owners who have the affected models are advised to bring their unit to their respective dealers for the proper attention and repairs.
