Solar power is an energy source that has yet to make its mark but perhaps the sunRED solar powered scooters can prove that with its concept scooter. The sunRED scooter will have a photovoltaic surface of around 3.1 sq.m. when the panels are fully deployed although they can still solicit solar power even when they are retracted but on a smaller scale of harnessing power.

The dashboard will be made of a LCD touch screen showing energy consumption readings, an odometer and trip meter readings. The motor will be mounted on the front wheel and this scooter can go as far as 13 miles. Sounds promising especially now that a lot of solar-powered vehicles have come out.
