China Electric Scooters are “Nearly Perfect”

As far as the use of electric scooters are concerned, they are nearly perfect. PERFECT in the sense that they do address the growing emission problems and “NEARLY” because they seem to be overlooking the use of lead-based electric batteries.

The batteries need to be replaced after a few years and since China’s lead industry is poorly regulated, the issue of lead emission is the uncovered area that needs to be addressed. And of course, China is denying this claim. In fact they claim that advances in technology will make the batteries cleaner, especially as alternatives to lead like lithium become cheap enough to be universally adopted.
