Here is another eco-friendly idea as far as pedal-powered bikes are concerned. This Ecobike design comes with good mechanical ergonomics and seems like an ordinary bicycle with a twist.
Something hidden in the lower part of this bike seems interesting but remains hidden for now. This is the latest bicycle design by Krizarl Calanglang.
Whether you are biking or scootering, never get lost again with the Sony NV-U35 GPS. This is a weather-proof GPS which comes with specs like a 3.5” QVGA scratch-resistant screen, 8GB of onboard memory and supports most audio and video formats.
It is now available in Japan for ¥37,000 ($400).
The Biquattro electric bike is a 2009 award winner which should offer ease of mobility and ample storage space. It has the flexibility of being driven in two wheels whose rear wheels can split when the need to transport large objects becomes a need, transforming itself into a tricycle of sorts.
The storage space can accommodate up to 150 liters. The battery powered motor can last up to 30 kilometers on a single charge which is good for use of up to 3 hours.
On the outside, it looks like one monster Harley bike but you may be surprised that this is an eco-bike the runs silently. In summary this is a “Harley” without an engine, something eco-friendly for people who want to be seen in a funky big bike.
Here is an odd looking bike for the pedal-power seeking bikers. They don’t come with the typical fork that holds the handle bars and front tire together and should be a new concept bike that should be interesting.
The issue of balance and sturdiness come into mind which may make this forkless bike have some weight limit restrictions.
Honda is scheduled to unveil a new mobility scooter at the Geneva Show next week with the Honda 3R-C monocycle. This vehicle is designed for only one person.
The battery electric drive train is mounted low in the three wheeled chassis, therefore keeping the center of gravity low stable. It also comes with a clear canopy that should cover the driver’s seat when the vehicle is parked or unused.
Here is another three-wheeler that runs on electricity. The Trigon is another eco-friendly vehicle designed by Alexandros TH Katinis and Kim Katinis specifically for one person.
It is powered by electric motors and comes with additional highlights like twin air chamber tires, soft front bumper, anti snow/ice device and rear wheel steering operation. With the cockpit made of recyclable elements, the Trigon is a complete eco-friendly, convenient and simple car.
Here is something that could come out soon. Mobility scooters have been gaining much attention but if you widen your method of thinking a bit, then these levitating chairs may just be the next ones in line.
They work like air hockey tables and come armed with high-powered air jets. The only problem is that they will only work on smooth surfaces, posing a possible limitation.
The Wonderful world of scooters, continues to grow in popularity amoung consumers, its expected to outsell motorbikes in China and developing nations by 2010.
